Clover RPG weapons by class
Light weapons (daggers, rapiers, gauntlets) are the fastest, with attack speed 0.78 to 0.925, and hit for 5 to 18. Medium weapons (swords, spears, staffs, katanas) sit at 0.67 to 0.775 for 6 to 17 damage. Heavy weapons (greatswords and axes) are slowest at 0.5 to 0.625 but hit for 9 to 23.
Damage x speed is our own figure: damage multiplied by attack speed, a rough measure of damage over time. It ignores range, weight, proficiency scaling and critical attacks, so treat it as a quick comparison inside a class, not a final ranking. The Clover RPG tier list uses it to rank the weapons.
Clover RPG weapons and proficiency
Each class has its own proficiency. Hitting enemies with a weapon fills its bar, and you upgrade at the matching trainer at Whispering Hills for 15 Insight, 2 stat points and some Marks. The normal cap is level 3; going higher needs Percival's Recommendation and locks the other two classes. The highest proficiency level in the game data is 10.
Your first weapon class comes from the tutorial reward at Vulcan's forge, and you cannot freely switch classes later without wiping the save slot, so the beginner guide is worth reading before you pick.
Enchantments
Any weapon can roll an enchantment, a rare bonus effect shown by its text and glow in chests. Known enchantments are Nova (burns), Frostbite (freezes), Bloodfiend (steals health), Static Chain (shocks), Lurk (teleports you behind the target) and Valor (+15% damage above 70% or below 30% health). The drop rate is unknown. An Enchantment Fragment rerolls the enchantment on a weapon that already has one.
