How to reroll magic in Clover RPG: the three methods
- Spend Robux. Buy a Magic reroll with Robux. The community wiki lists no price.
- Wipe your character at level 15. Reach level 15, then wipe, and the game lets you choose whether to keep your grimoire. A wipe keeps your Family and Race. The Beginners Guide describes it as wiping the slot's data and says it is also how you change your weapon class, so plan for a fresh start.
- Spend Essence. Earn Essence by playing, then buy a Grimoire reroll in the Shop. The wiki lists no Essence price either.

Clover RPG Essence: what it buys and how to earn it
Essence is the currency behind most rerolls. It buys Family rerolls, Grimoire rerolls, Race rerolls, extra save slots and cosmetics. You earn it four ways:
- Bestiary progression: defeat the enemies listed in your Bestiary.
- Profession progression: level up your professions, which the Clover RPG professions guide covers.
- Gladiator victories: win Gladiator matches.
- Boss battles: defeat bosses, listed in Clover RPG bosses.
The wiki does not say how much Essence each source pays or what each reroll costs, so check the in-game Shop for current prices.
Clover RPG race reroll
A Race Reroll rerolls your race and resets your character, so read the item description before you use one. You can get one in four ways: buy it from the main menu, where it becomes untradable; buy it in game, where it costs more but stays tradable; trade for one; or get a rare Gladiator drop. A wipe will not change your race, because wipes keep Family and Race.
Race odds run from Human at 52% to Lesser Demon and Lesser Angel at 1%. The Clover RPG races page lists every perk, and the Clover RPG tier list ranks them.
Clover RPG family reroll
A Family Name Reroll changes your character's last name. Essence buys Family rerolls, and a wipe will not change your Family. The Artifacts list also has Locked versions of the Magic, Race and Family Name rerolls, which are untradable.
Clover RPG variant reroll
Magic variants are cosmetic, so a variant reroll never changes your skills or damage. You may receive a variant when you get your grimoire. To reroll it, press Tab and open the Ability menu. The Laboratory in Kamo also lists a Magic Variant Reroll; the Clover RPG locations guide shows where Kamo's landmarks sit.
Should you reroll your magic?
Now you know how to reroll magic in Clover RPG, the real question is whether to. Only do it if the gain is worth the cost. Flame and Light roll 22%, Wind 20%, Lightning and Shadow 15%, Beast 5% and Time 1%, so chasing Time or Beast means many rerolls. The community wiki's FAQ says every magic is viable, so keep a roll you enjoy. Check the Clover RPG magic tier list before you spend Robux or Essence.
